Southwest Airlines pilots overwhelmingly approve new contract
After four years of negotiations, pilots for Southwest Airlines ratified their labor contract today. The contract included a 30% pay increase and was approved by 84% of the pilots. Approximately 96% of the pilots participated in the ballot, totaling around 8,000 votes. The ratification follows the airline's flight attendant's recent ratification of their own 3 year contract on October 31st.
