Southwest offering buyouts to employees
Southwest Airlines is making a buyout offer available to about 33,000 of their employees. Employees who participate will be able to pick from three different packages with various amounts of cash, health-care and travel benefits in exchange for voluntarily quitting their jobs. The airline is making this offer in order to deal with overstaffing in some jobs.
