Spain unions threaten strike over pension reform
Spanish unions organized marches across the country on Saturday in a protest against plans to raise the retirement age. The government plans to raise the retirement age to 67 to help rehabilitate its financial image. The unions say that they will call for a general strike in January if the government does not back down from raising the retirement age. The government says that the cuts are necessary to reduce debts. Spain's last general strike was on September 29.
