Spanish Unemployment Rate Creeps Higher as Workforce Expands
In the fourth quarter, Spain saw its unemployment rate rise to 23.7%, which is considerably higher than the 23.5% unemployment prediction made by economists. The workforce increased by 95,200 which could explain the higher unemployment rate for the fourth quarter. Economists predict that Spain could still add 700,000 new jobs by the end of 2015.
