In a unanimous vote Monday, the Philadelphia School Reform Commission cancelled its teachers? contracts with no warning. The district will take the responsibility of administering benefits from the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers union and will require teachers to cover 10 to 13 percent of their medical plan. The district claims it will not lower any wages.
