Sri Lankans protest over killing of co-worker
After the death of a worker yesterday, thousands of Sri Lankan demonstrated. The worker was shot by police on Monday when protests turned violent. The government apologized, arrested two policeman and the head of the police stepped down, but protesters say that the police do not respect or protect human rights. The dispute between the government and the workers comes from a government pension plan, which has been suspended.
