Starbucks requests that the NLRB opens the union vote to the whole Buffalo market
Starbucks has asked the National Labor Relations Board to allow all 450 workers in Buffalo, New York to be a part of the union vote. Starbucks Workers United is accusing Starbucks of union busting tactics that includes this action that they say will delay the vote. The executive vice president of Starbucks North America has been holding listening sessions in Buffalo with workers, although Starbucks Workers United believe this is another union busting tactic. Starbucks denies these claims and calls them “categorically false.” On September 22nd, an NLRB hearing will take place if the two sides cannot come to an agreement.
