State appeals court upholds right-to-work law
A Wisconsin state court of appeals ruled against three unions on Tuesday who sued the state to overturn right-to-work laws. The law prohibits unions and employers from mandating that workers pay union dues, but requires that they still must be represented by the union. The three unions, including the AFL-CIO, argued that the state was illegally taking-over their services. The court said that the results of right-to-work do not constitute taking, and send the case back to the circuit court for dismissal.
