State Troopers' union files lawsuit alleging retaliation
Union leaders from the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association filed a 53-page lawsuit yesterday accusing several high-ranking commanders of illegally retaliating against union members. Those accused include Commissioner Frank Pawlowski, Deputy Commissioner John Brown, and former Commissioner Jeffrey Miller. The suit accuses the commissioners of encouraging non-union employees to retaliate against union members, punishing those who did not, and refusing to investigate allegations of misconduct. Union leaders say the retaliation interfered with their ability to represent members and address grievances. In a statement, the State Police department "categorically denied" having engaged in illegal activity against the union.
