Stephen Colbert delivers the 'whole truthiness' to Congress on undocumented farm workers
The chair of the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee's subcommittee on immigration invited Stephen Colbert, host of the show "The Colbert Report" to testify before the committee. Colbert took a challenge offered by the United Farmworkers to America, asking them to "Take Our Jobs" if they thought illegal immigrants should not be picking crops. Colbert worked for one day on a farm. One of the committee members commented that amnesty supporters should consider real jobs that required hard labor instead of sitting behind a desk, a jab at Colbert. Colbert's appearance packed the committee room, something that has not happened since impeachment proceedings for Bill Clinton.
