Stressed-Out Restaurant Workers Forced to Manage Public Health Issues
Almost seven months after many restaurants were forced to initially shutdown due to the pandemic, safety remains a critical concern for many restaurant workers. In many areas, pandemic safety protocols are a spotty patchwork of policy and personal preference. Often regulations range from being non-existent to inconsistent. Additionally, regulations are consistently in fluctuation. The lack of consistency regarding regulations has led to restaurant workers on the frontlines assuming responsibility for enforcing public health guidelines, such as requesting that customers wear masks.
