Strike prompts Lufthansa to cancel 500-plus flights
German airline workers at Lufthansa will go on strike Thursday, causing the airline to cancel more than 500 flights. The five-hour strike will involve around 33,000 workers, and comes before a round of wage negotiations scheduled for Friday. The airline has said that it wants to freeze pay and increase working hours, while the union is asking for a pay increase.
