Strikes show contempt says Downing Street
After a string of pre-Christmas strikes in the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Theresa May publicly stated her disapproval. May believes that the unions have a “shared contempt” for the country’s working class. Strikes have erupted across the nation’s post offices, Southern Rail, and British Airways. The unions representing the strikers are thought to be using the leverage of the holiday season to force progress. The Prime Minister is calling upon both the unions and managements to come together to solve their disagreements.
