Striking Asiana Airlines' Pilots Defiant
Although the South Korean Labor Ministry has warned them to end their walkout by this weekend or face the prospect of government intervention, striking pilots at the country's second-largest airline have remained defiant. The pilots have presented a wide range of demands, including more rest days, a greater say in management decisions and an increase in the retirement age. The airline has offered some concessions, but not enough to lure the pilots back to work.
