Striking Concrete Haulers Reach Tentative Contract
The striking New York City concrete haulers have reached a tentative contract agreement with the city's concrete producers, according to the union representing the workers. The Teamsters' union has declared that the strike is over and the workers will be back on the job as of Monday. The strike affected 450 concrete-mixing trucks, and led to postponement of a number of large construction projects throughout the city. After three days of intense negotiations, the strike is now officially over according to the union.
