Striking workers at Honda China supplier demand apology
Workers at a Chinese plant that supplies parts to Honda are striking over work conditions, wages, and a plan to fire 90 workers from the plant. The strike started on Monday after the company tried to fire the workers. The workers are also asking for an apology from the plant management, and a promise to stop layoffs for two years. The two sides talked briefly on Thursday, but workers said no agreement was reached. This strike comes after a string of strikes in May and June.
