Study: 20M Workers Have No Health Coverage
According to a new study nearly 20 million working Americans do not have health insurance. More than a quarter of working Texans have no insurance and in Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico and Oklahoma more than a fifth of the work force is uninsured. There is a campaign underway by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to build support for expanding health care coverage. Cover the Uninsured Week will bring together a diverse coalition of business, labor and several health organizations to promote the issue next week.
