Study Calls for Better Treatment of Workers
A recent study has concluded that employers should treat their low-wage
workers better, for the good of the workers and the company. Programs
that help these workers, such as subsidized child care, can boost employee
morale and satisfaction. This can benefit the company in the form of
better customer service and productivity. Two other reports released about
low-wage workers illustrate the hardships faced by these employees due to
lack of healthcare, paid sick days and other benefits.
