Study finds that workers are less creative in virtual meetings
In a series of studies conducted at Stanford, researchers found that virtual meetings stifle creativity. They found that folks in in-person meetings came up with more ideas generally and those ideas were more creative than when compared to those that were come up with over a video conferencing app. One contributing factor to this they believe is people's inability to look around the room and notice unusual items and so a professor at Northwestern University in Illinois said that an easy solution would be to turn off cameras when coming up with ideas.
