Subway leads fast food industry in underpaying workers
A report released by CNN Money claims that Subway is the worst violator of any fast food chain when it comes to federal law regarding worker wages and hours. The data for the report came directly from the Department of Labor and showed that between 2000 and 2013, the sandwich franchisee violated workers? rights to pay or hours worked more than 1,100 times. Each of those times represents one investigation by the Department of Labor which can translate into multiple violations. McDonald?s has had the second most investigations against it, followed closely by Dunkin? Donuts.
