Supreme Court issues narrow ruling against labor unions
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled today on a case that could weaken public sector unions ability to collectively bargaining. At issue were the automatic fee deductions taken from public sectory workers for the purpose of collective bargaining by the unions. Plaintiffs argued that the deductions are a violations of their First Amendment Rights if they do not consent to contributing to the unions.
