Survey Finds Few Jobs Where Women Earn More Than Men
The Census Bureau, after compiling statistics on hundreds of job categories, is reporting that there are only five were women typically earn at least as much as men. For example, if a women is willing to clean up hazardous materials she can earn $1.09 for ever dollar earned by a man. Overall women did best in fields that employ predominately men. The fields with the highest number of women fared worse on average. Nationally, the median income for a woman working full-time was about $28,000, compared with $38,000 for a man.
