Survey: Regional economy tepid; job losses coming
The August Mid-America survey of business leaders from Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota indicates that tough times are still upon the Plains and Midwest regions of the United States. While there are hopeful signs on the horizon, the immediate future is likely to include continued weak growth and downsizing.
