Survey shows that US workers regretted their lack of work-life balance in 2022 but remain optimistic for workplace improvements in the new year
A recent survey collected workers' regrets from the past year and hopes for the new year with regards to work. The data indicated that workers' main regrets from 2022 included lack of work-life balance, letting work overshadow their personal lives, and not setting boundaries. These reflections arise after the resurgence of in person work post-pandemic, as many employees had to return to the office this past year after working from home previously. Despite these regrets, workers' hopes remained optimistic for 2023, focused on improving work-life balance and being more vocal about changes they want to see in their workplaces.
