Swap cookies for cashews: Workplace ‘cake culture’ blamed for rise in obesity
Dentists in the United Kingdom are blaming the cultures at many workplaces for the increase in cases of tooth decay, diabetes, and obesity. The Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons has dubbed this phenomenon as "cake culture" and believes that workers are consuming large quantities of sugar at work on a daily basis. The dentists are calling on managers to encourage healthier workplaces.
