T-Mobile USA Moved Jobs Abroad in Call-Center Cuts, U.S. Says
The US Department of Labor says that T-Mobile moved jobs abroad after cutting US call-center workers. The Department of Labor said that the move to foreign workers doing equivalent work was a main reason for the cuts in the US, something the company denies. T-Mobile says that they did not offshore the work done by employees in the call centers. As a result of the decision, workers will be able to apply for government assistance. T-Mobile announced in May that it would cut another 900 jobs.
