Teacher protest: Education minister pushes school boards and unions to make deal in next 10 days
Ontario's education minister is calling on unions and school boards to reach new contract agreements before the end of year. The union says that they will not hold any strikes or job actions if the government agrees not to impose new contracts until the end of January. The union says that they want to work with a new government to find a resolution. The education minister has not said if she will impose new contracts, but analysts expect her to do so early in January.
