Teamsters Picket L.A. Coke Plants
As a protest of low wages and rising healthcare costs amongst warehouse workers at Los Angeles area Coca-Cola bottling plants, the teamsters and about 1,700 employees have begun walking the picket lines. It is unclear whether the action is considered a strike or a lockout, though both sides hope for a resolution in the next few days. The company claims that the picket has had no effect on production, though the union begs to differ.
