Teamsters president lobbys against anti-union bills in Missouri
The Missouri Senate passed a bill earlier this month that would require union members to give consent every year to have dues taken out of their paychecks. Some lawmakers are also pushing bills that would prohibit closed-shops. The bills brought the president of the Teamsters, James Hoffa to the Missouri capital to ask lawmakers to stop pushing the bills. He said that the bills were like the ones seen in Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida and other states, and that they would only end up hurting workers.
