Teamsters set their eye on organizing Amazon workers
On Thursday, members of the Teamsters will vote on a resolution to prioritize organizing Amazon workers to help them win a contract at the Teamster's convention. Teamsters representatives say that Amazon poses a threat to the standards they have set in core Teamster industries that overlap with the company. Amazon workers failed to pass a union campaign vote earlier this year and Teamster officials believe that hardball tactics like strikes and boycotts will be necessary for this campaign.
