Tears and Rage as Hope Fades in Bangladesh
Five days after the collapse of a building in Bangladesh that housed five garment factories, hope for finding more survivors has begun to disappear. The collapse is considered the deadliest garment industry accident in history, with at least 377 dead and hundreds more still missing. More than 3,000 workers were employed in the factories, making apparel for brands like JC Penney, Cato and Primark. The owner of the building was arrested, but says that it was the owners of the factories who should be blamed for not closing their factories after cracks were discovered in the structure.
