The Northern Virginia Technology Council has voted to oppose any legislation that would ban companies that outsource jobs from getting state work. The council said that such a policy would only hinder the ability of companies to compete globally. The push to restrict the activities of outsourcing firms has come from labor groups and American tech workers in response to a growing fear of job losses.
