Tech Factory Workers Strike in China over Mooncakes, Benefits
In China 16,000 workers with the Tech Company Wintek Corp went on strike over withheld benefits. This marks the second largest strike in the past year, although executives claim that the strike did not affect the company?s production. Wintek is listed as a supplier for Apple?s iPad and iPhone. The walk-off was due to workers only receiving 100 yuan, a banana and a piece of chicken last Monday for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Last year workers were given 700 yuan and customary mooncakes for the festival.
