Tennessee Senate vote due on teacher union bargaining ban
The Tennessee Senate is expected to pass a bill that would ban unions from negotiating teacher contracts with school boards. The House says that they will most likely pass the Senate version of the bill. While the Tennessee Education Association says that it will continue to lobby against the bill, and that the bill represents an attack on workers and unions. Legislators said that they expected that the union would be against the bill, but that change is necessary.
