Thousands of people demonstrated in South Africa on Wednesday. The demonstration is part of an effort to put pressure on the government to make sure policy changes do not have adverse effects on the poor and working class in the country. The country's main labor federation, the Congress of South African Trade Unions says that the government should protect permanent jobs and pay more attention to what people need.
