Tentative Contract With Janitors Reached
A tentative contract has been reached by the union representing 25,000 building-service workers at more than 1,000 New York City office buildings, narrowly avoiding a strike. A major issue in the dispute was health care coverage. As part of the agreement, employers will contribute a total of $78 more each week for health coverage by the end of the contract.
