Ternium, Workers to Meet as Argentine Steel Labor Dispute Enters 8th Day
An Argentinian truck drivers strike has stopped steel deliveries to car manufacturers owned by Ternium SA for eight days. The strike is over working conditions and some benefits. The company says that they are not responsible for the working conditions of contractors, but a labor ministry spokesman said that under Argentine law they are. Three of five plants have stopped production, and another says that it will stop tomorrow without steel.
