Tesoro Workers At Wilmington Oil Refinery Authorize Strike
Workers at a Tesoro oil refinery in Southern California have voted to authorize a strike. The United Steelworkers, which represents the workers, said that contract talks began earlier this month. the current contract expires at the end of April. The union said that the strike was authorized due to the company's offer of a plan that would allow them to change benefits without negotiating with the union. The company says that it is trying to reach a fair settlement with the union.
