The construction industry is in desperate need of workers as home construction and improvement projects are surging. With wages increasing to remain competitive and the price of raw materials skyrocketing, construction companies are facing exorbitant rising costs and a massive labor shortage. An aging construction workforce and a lack of shop classes breeding younger workers have made the industry short 430,00 workers this year. Despite recouping workers lost during the pandemic, the industry is looking to hire many workers that simply don’t exist.
