The infamous civil rights organization has made the decision to unionize not only as a political statement, but also to address real workplace concerns. The Southern Poverty Law Center has undergone rapid growth, and numerous scandals this past year, such as the firing of its co-founder Morris Dees. Amidst new leadership, the Southern Poverty Law Center acknowledges the importance of collective bargaining to ensure that the voices of workers are heard.
