The strike is on: Women protest as part of ‘Day Without a Woman’
Across the nation, "Day Without A Woman" rallies and strikes are being held today. Inspired by women's marches after Inauguration Day, the organizers of "Day Without A Woman" called for women to band together for a day of "economic solidarity". The strike has caused certain school districts to shut down for the day. Some of those who could not participate wore red in solidarity with the movement, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
