The Workplace: Praying on the job
When religion comes up at work, it is best to treat the subject with respect and to be as tactful as possible. Dr. Judith Orloff, a psychiatrist in Los Angeles and author of "Positive Energy," notes that religion is a delicate issue and that misunderstandings can easily create hard feelings in the workplace. However, employees who feel that their co-workers' religious practices might be interfering with productivity are encouraged to speak up.
