The Workplace: When stress is always just a phone call away
The technology that can connect us around the clock to the office also gives us a "hot line" to family, and that is a mixed blessing, especially for working mothers. Having easy access, via technology, to children, spouses or partners and household responsibilities is both a comfort and a stress to working mothers. These new technologies are equally invasive when it comes to performing work at home instead of spending time with the family.
