The company stated that it is reorganizing its structure and reducing staff in various areas, such as data analysts, marketing managers, and scientists. Three offices in San Diego will be shut down, with these offices focusing primarily on COVID-19 tests and other diagnostic products. The company states that demand for COVID-19 diagnostic tests has significantly decreased, and Thermo Fisher will be shifting resources to focus on other initiatives.
