These Amazon Warehouse Workers Smoke in Cages
In an effort to keep a close watch on warehouse merchandise, Amazon has built outdoor cages that allow employees to go outside and smoke but prevents them from leaving the property or passing merchandise to people in the parking lot. In addition, employees must undergo an extensive screening process before taking breaks or leaving work at the end of the day. As a result, numerous lawsuits have been filed by workers seeking pay for time spent in the screening process.
