Thousands of Boeing workers who build fighter jets just went on strike
Roughly 3,200 Boeing workers across three plants in Missouri and Illinois went on strike Monday after rejecting a new labor deal, saying “enough is enough.” The unionized workers, who build military aircraft, turned down a proposed four-year contract with a 20% wage increase. Boeing said it was disappointed, claiming the offer included 40% average wage growth. The strike follows a separate 53-day walkout last year and comes as Boeing continues to face fallout from safety and financial issues tied to its commercial aircraft division.
