Thousands of Fast-Food Workers Strike; Arrests Made
The organizer Fight for 15?s plan went into effect this Thursday morning as Fast-Food workers participated in a nationwide walk-off. Workers who make barely over $7.25 an hour are demanding a wage increase to $15 an hour. In New York City?s Time Square, 19 workers sat down and refused to move resulting in arrests made by police. Fast-food corporations are retaliating against protests in an effort to maintain low labor costs.
