Thousands of Meta employees receive poor performance reviews, stoking fears of additional layoffs at the tech company
At the tech giant Meta, thousands of workers, equating to ten percent of the current workforce, recently received subpar performance reviews. As a result, there are fears of another large round of layoffs to occur at the company. In November, Meta slashed its workforce significantly in order to pursue a "year of efficiency," and make up for the billions of dollars lost from its investment in the Metaverse project. To pursue these goals, Zuckerberg has already begun restructuring the organization to cut costs and ensure faster decision-making.
