Thousands protest against looming cuts
Thousands of people are protesting in London against cuts that will be unveiled by the government this week. Prime Minister David Cameron has said that they will cut around 83 billion pounds by 2014, which means cuts to government services, welfare and jobs. At a debate set up by unions, workers shared their concerns over the effects the cuts would have the elderly, children and their jobs. The government says that they need to cut programs to reduce the budget deficit, but opponents say that the cuts could send the country back into a recession.
