Thousands stage strike at Egypt textile giant
Over 23,000 Egyptian textile workers went on strike Sunday. The workers are protesting low wages at the factory, run by a state-owned textile company. Workers around Egypt have gone on strike since the election of a new president asking for better wages and working conditions. About 7,000 of the workers at the textile factory are staging a sit-in, and say that they will continue until their demands are met.
